A Kurdish Story

“As young Australians-Kurds it is important for us to be active in the community and promote our culture and identity.”

Whatever the outcome of the recent Kurdish referendum, where 90% voted ‘yes’ as a first step towards regional independence from Baghdad in Iraq, Kurds in Australia will maintain a strong sense of cultural and linguistic identity that derives from their ancestral homeland.
